Stats:

  • Hometown: Apex, NC
  • Years Living In Wilmington: 2
  • What Brought You To ILM? My family frequently made beach vacations to Wilmington during my childhood and I always told myself that one day I would make this place home, and I did! I couldn’t imagine settling down anywhere else.

Favorite Spots In Wilmington:

  • Floriana - I recommend reserving a balcony table, watching the sunset over the river with great food is unbeatable.
  • Zeke’s Beans and Bowls - My absolute favorite place for a quick bite before a beach day! They have awesome fruit bowls, poke bowls, and tasty wraps.
  • The Arboretum - A hidden little treasure of plants, flowers, and trees. The perfect place to read a book, take pictures, or just walk around.

Local Spot Tourists Don't Know About ...

Beach Access 43 - Most people go the the beach accesses near the piers or the big public parking lots, I only go to access 43. It’s all the way on the south side of WB and there’s limited parking but it’s totally worth it. There’s no chaos or crowds and it’s a great place to relax and have a fun beach day.

Unexpected Facts:

  • I love fostering/rescuing animals and I do it frequently. I have two golden retrievers, Cowboy and Indy, that I love so very much. Also a cat, Enzo, but he’s evil.
  • I grew up learning construction so I’m actually pretty educated on home renovations and all of the moving parts that go into them.
  • I attended NCSU in the veterinary bioscience field in hopes of becoming a veterinarian. I realized halfway through that my passion was real estate and made the quick move to Wilmington.

Why Do You Love Real Estate?

It’s a very fulfilling career; knowing that you helped someone secure their dream home or taking the weight off of a client’s shoulders during the selling process. It’s personal and emotional, and I’m always excited to assist my clients in any way.

Most Unique Thing You've Seen In Real Estate:

During renovations of the first house I’ve purchased in Wilmington, we learned that the bathroom used to be a back porch. The linoleum tiles were actually glued straight on to a rotted wood deck! We were amazed, a quick fix for a bathroom floor turned into gutting the whole room and starting from the ground up. I mean “ground” very literally, we were looking at the dirt crawlspace from our kitchen wondering how we even got to that point.
