Shelley Sugden is a highly competent and client-focused agent. Our parents moved and weren't sure whether to sell their house as-is, remodel and sell, or update and keep it as a rental property. The home is 2 hours away and the process of gathering contacts, information and estimates from a distance seemed a daunting task. We asked Shelley for help finding a knowledgeable and honest agent in the area and briefly explained our situation. I expected a quick list with a few names and phone numbers. Shelley responded with a VERY detailed email. She had promptly researched agents in the area, reached out to agents she felt had appropriate experience and attributes for our needs. She spoke with agents personally, checked their references, reached out to the references, requested listing agreements, read customer reviews, gathered personal and professional information and pulled hard-to-find local comps. We were so prepared that, in just one call, we chose an agent and immediately scheduled a walk-through at the house. Due to Shelley's proactive approach and clear communication, the local agent was prompted to invite a local contractor/flipper to join us for the walk-thru. Shelley drove 2 hours (each way) on short notice, to meet with us and to discuss the financials and the plausibility of each option. Along with Shelley’s prior rental property experience, the knowledge of the local agent and the insight of the contractor, we accomplished more in that one meeting than we had expected to accomplish in many months on our own! We eventually decided selling was the best option. As part of referring us to another agent, Shelley stayed engaged, reviewed all the documents and advised us on each. She made sure that we were educated and informed so that my parents felt confident at every step. Her overall attitude of excellence helped us through what could have been a long and arduous process. Laura is a very wonderful person. Polite, funny. She listened carefully to our needs of what kind of property we were looking for. Any time we send her a request of properties to look at she responded quickly and had the showings set up quickly. Extremely knowledgeable about property, gave us excellent advice. We have officially closed on our home in NC!! Thank you so much Adonna Pipkin for selling our home. We highly recommend her (Spot Real Estate)!!! We fired our first realtor as he wasn't putting much effort into it (wouldn't do an open house even though others were, among several other things). Once Adonna took control, she did everything in her power to get it under contract, including open house, realtor luncheons, putting the word out far more than the first realtor, speaking with the appraiser prior to him going out there! So much about Adonna that we absolutely loved! She also pulled accurate comps when various buyers' realtors were pulling bogus ones (she explained her comps to the appraiser). We denied serveral offers as it would have hurt our neighborhood. Above all, she is a Christian who prays over every house she sells. She strongly encouraged us to walk our property and pray over it. We prayed for the sell as well as the people that would be buying it. We love our neighbors and wanted a good family in there. Come to find out, the buyers were helping our neighbors with the hurricane cleanup (they rented our house for a week prior to closing). That says a lot about them! We are so thankful to hear this.
